Planetary Transits July 15 – July 21

(Interpretations based on the Systemsʻ Approach to Vedic Astrology)

Prediction from June 10 weekly column:

“Be especially vigilant during July and August, when Saturn is two degrees or less from the ninth aspect of Saturn. (There may be more problems with Covid-19 and/or other viruses.)”

Todayʻs headline: “New Covid Cases 50% Higher in 35 States.”

Notes:

There have been two major planetary influences contributing to the recent disturbances worldwide. These include the stationary position of Rahu and Ketu in the 16-degree range (April 26 to July 12) – which is now starting to separate — and the close influence of Rahu on Saturn (March 15 – September 19). These prolonged influences are difficult for most everyone, everywhere.

Be especially vigilant during July, August, and September, as Saturn remains under the ninth aspect of Rahu. (There may be issues relative to Covid-19, the masses, the elderly, immigrants, working class persons, agriculture and manufacturing – along with things of the earth, such as fires, flood, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc.)

It is likely things will improve by the end of September – other transits notwithstanding.

Sun transits out of Gemini and into Cancer, July 16th at 6:23 a.m. CDT. The Sun is outside the orb of influence of other planets, but is weak in degrees until July 21st. Presidents, leaders, physicians, administrators and government officials should get extra rest.

Sun Transits Cancer

Moon is waxing and transits Virgo, Taurus, Scorpio, and into Sagittarius.

Mars transits out of its debilitation sign of Cancer and into Leo, July 20th at 7:25 a.m. CDT. Mars is closely conjunct Venus until July 20th. Taurus, Scorpio and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries should be careful and patient. Mars remains weak (in debilitation) until July 20th and weak in degrees until July 28th. Be patient with the military, police, athletes, surgeons, executive decisions, and property matters.

Mars in Leo

Mercury transits Gemini, from 10:58 to 23:47°. Mercury is outside the orb of influence of other planets and is strong in degrees. This should be favorable for finance, business, technology, communications and intellectual property.

Jupiter transits Aquarius from 07:04 to 6:29°. Jupiter is retrograde until October 18. The adverse effects are primarily for Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn rising sign persons — and only when Jupiter is within five degrees of their rising sign degree (in any house) or another planet by aspect or conjunction, in either the birth chart or transit chart. Jupiter is also under the seventh aspect of Venus July 18th-July 26th. Taurus, Scorpio, and Pisces rising sign persons should be careful and patient.

Venus transits out of Cancer and into Leo, July 16th at 10:56 p.m. CDT. Venus is under the seventh aspect of Jupiter, July 18th-July 26th. Taurus, Cancer, and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA) should be careful and patient. Venus is also closely conjunct Mars until July 21. Taurus, Virgo and Scorpio rising sign persons, companies and countries should be careful and patient.

Venus in Leo

Saturn transits its own sign, Capricorn, from 17:20 to 16:50° Saturn is in retrograde motion until October 10th. Retrograde Saturn is adverse primarily only for Cancer, Virgo and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA) – and only when Saturn is within five degrees of their rising sign degree (in any house) or another planet by aspect or conjunction, in either the birth chart or transit chart.

Rahu and Ketu transit Taurus and Scorpio, respectively, from 15:40 to 15:36° Rahu and Ketu are no longer stationary in the 16° range. This should be helpful, but continue to exercise patience through July. People, companies and countries with a rising sign between 13 and 17 degrees — or with any planets in even signs (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces) in these same degrees, should exercise a great deal of care and patience.

The Impact of the Transit Planets for each “Rising Sign” (not “Sun Sign”)

Aries: Focus on property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life, but get extra rest while Mars is debilitated through July 20. Be patient with communications and entrepreneurial ventures through July 24. Connect partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands with children, education and investments, July 17 – August 10. Turn your house into a palace and work out of your home on entrepreneurial ventures, mid-July to mid-August. Jupiter brings good fortune and friendships – associated with your career. Gain from teaching, publishing and advisory roles through Sept. 14.

Taurus: Be patient with insomnia, intimacy, institutions, or international ventures. There may be debts, disputes, health or legal issues with property, vehicles or home life, July 17 – August 10. Expect success with writing, business, technology, communications, intellectual property, children, education, investments, and creative projects through July 24. Work out of your home on entrepreneurial ventures connected with large organizations, mid-July to mid-August. Connect your career with research and knowledge until Sept. 14. Teach, publish and advise.

Gemini: Be patient with income and friendships for another week and then expect a lift. Business, brokering, technology, communications, property, vehicles and fixed assets are in the forefront though July 24. Connect children, education and investments with independent projects, July 17 – August 10. Expect success with entrepreneurial ventures, and speak up as an authority figure, mid-July to mid-August. Be patient with setbacks with partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands through next April; on the other hand, a windfall, marriage, inheritance, legal or insurance settlement is also possible.

Cancer: Be patient with your career for another week and then expect a lift. Communications and entrepreneurial ventures — except those involving retreats, institutions or foreign lands – are vulnerable to expenses and separations through July 24. Expect success with property, vehicles and home life, July 17 – August 10. Take a leadership position and enjoy your wealth, status and family life, mid-July to mid-August. Connect teaching, publishing and advisory roles with research and knowledge, but remain vigilant to manage debts, disputes, setbacks, accidents, health or legal issues through Sept. 14.

Leo: Take care with travel, father and religious figures for one more week. Gain from stocks, writing, business and intellectual property through July 24. Communications and entrepreneurial ventures are forefront, July 17 – August 10. Consider a retreat, ashram, cruise or visit to a foreign land, mid-July to mid-August. Be patient, however, with losses, expenses and separations and to avoid hospitalization. Connect children, education, and investments with partnerships and joint ventures – but also protect these from debts, disputes, health or legal issues through Sept. 14.

Virgo: Be an intellectual messenger. Focus on your career — connected with stocks, writing, finance, business, technology, communications and intellectual property through July 24. Watch out for duality; take a break from any situation if you notice tension surfacing. Be patient with income, friendships and older siblings, mid-July to mid-August. There may be losses, expenses or separations with these. Make sure property, vehicles and fixed assets are protected against fire, debts, theft, disputes, cheating, or legal issues through September 14.

Libra: Connect your career with partnerships, joint ventures, property matters and executive decisions for another week. Take care of travel, father and religious figures through July 24. Focus on income, friendships and/or older siblings — and gain from design, women, fashion, and the fine, healing and performing arts, July 17 – August 10. Take a leadership position in the workplace, mid-July to mid-August. This is also a good time to ask for a raise or promotion. Connect independent projects with children, education, investments, property, home life and spiritual pursuits through Sept. 14.

Scorpio: Expect multiple influences in the workplace. These include debts, disputes, fire, theft, cheating, losses, expenses and separations. There may also be a connection with institutions and foreign lands. Good fortune and long-distance travel with your career are also possible mid-July to mid-August. Connect income and friendships with research and knowledge, but manage setbacks with income and friendships. Work out of your home through Sept. 14 – involving law, religion, children, teaching, publishing and consulting.

Sagittarius: Be patient with issues relative to children, education and investments for one week. Connect your career with partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands through July 24. Expect a lift with women, income and friendships July 17 – August 10. Take care of father and religious figures and long-distance travel mid-July to mid-August. These may be vulnerable to setbacks, accidents, etc. Focus on entrepreneurial ventures through Sept. 14 connected with writing, teaching publishing, consulting and advisory roles.

Capricorn: Connect property, vehicles and home life with marriage, partnerships and joint ventures. In general, however, the transits are challenging. Take care of father and religious figures and travel through July 24. There may also be setbacks with your career, July 17 – August 10. (Focus on research and knowledge.) Be patient with relationships and life abroad, mid-July to mid-August. There may be associations with ashrams, institutions, or long-distance places – along with expenses and separations through Sept. 14.

Aquarius: Take care of your children, education and investments through July 24. Be vigilant with communications and entrepreneurial ventures for one more week – and with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands, mid-July to mid-August. These are vulnerable to debts, disputes, health or legal issues. Expect a lift with travel and father and religious figures, July 17 – August 10. Income and friendships are forefront through Sept. 14. Teach, publish and advise. Be patient with expenses and separations involving retreats, institutions or foreign lands.

Pisces: Connect partnerships, joint ventures and/or foreign lands with property, vehicles and home life through July 24. Work out of your home on writing, business, technology, communications and intellectual property. Take care of marriage, windfalls, insurance and inheritance matters, July 17 – August 10. These may be vulnerable to debts, disputes, health or legal issues. Take care of pets, children, education and investments, mid-July to mid-August. Connect your career with ashrams, institutions or foreign lands through Sept. 14. Exercise patience to manage expenses and separations in your professional life.
