Planetary Transits for May 15th – May 21st
(Interpretations based on the Systemsʻ Approach to Vedic Astrology)
Notes: Sun moves away from the close conjunction with Rahu on May 17th. Mars moves away from the close aspect of Ketu on May 20th. There may be a little improvement, but there is still a chance for sudden, serious or explosive issues relative to presidents, leaders, the military, governments and property matters.
Jupiter is now strong in its own sign, Pisces, through next March. This should be helpful worldwide, especially for law, justice and other Jupiter significations, including religion, morality, banking education, teaching, publishing, consulting, husbands, children, astrology, and divine grace.
Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies and countries (including India, USA, Russia and Ukraine), however, should be vigilant whenever transit Jupiter is within five degrees of their rising sign degree in any house, or any planet, by aspect or conjunction.
Transits for this Week:
Sun transits Taurus, from 00:12 to 06:56°. Sun is closely conjunct Rahu for another two days. Leaders, presidents, physicians, administrators and governments remain vulnerable to sudden issues. Sun is also closely conjunct Mercury May 18 – 24. Aries, Libra and Aquarius rising sign persons, companies and countries should be careful and patient.
Moon is waxing/waning and transits Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. The full Moon is in Scorpio, May 15th at 11:14 p.m., CDT. Moon, in Scorpio, is debilitated, May 16 – 17. Watch your emotional state, and be vigilant in crowds and around volatile persons. (See above for Total Lunar Eclipse.)
Mars transits out of Aquarius and into Pisces, May 16th at 11:02 p.m. Mars is under the fifth aspect of Ketu through May 20th. This is NOT ideal for the military, police, athletes, executives and property matters. Sudden setbacks or explosive issues are likely.
Mercury transits Taurus, from 09:49 to 06:19°. Mercury is closely conjunct Sun, May 18 – 24. Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries should be careful and patient.
Mercury is in retrograde motion until June 3rd. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a problem for most people. The impact is primarily for Aries, Libra and Aquarius rising sign persons, companies and countries – and ONLY when Mercury is within five degrees of the rising sign degree, or any other planet, by aspect or conjunction.
Jupiter transits its own sign, Pisces, from 06:38 to 07:55°. Jupiter outside the orb of influence of other planets. This should be favorable for law, justice, religion, banking, teaching, publishing, advisory roles, and other Jupiter significations.
Venus transits its exaltation sign, Pisces, from 20:13 to 28:21°. Venus is outside the orb of influence of other planets. This should be favorable for women, romance, luxuries, fashion, design, and the fine, healing and forming arts.
Saturn transits its own sign, Aquarius, from 00:44 to 00:55°. Saturn is weak in degrees, which does not completely support the masses, (including women needing health care services) the elderly, the poor and needy, and working-class persons, along with manufacturing, agriculture and the oil, gas and minerals industries.
Rahu and Ketu transit Aries and Libra, respectively, from 28:21 to 28:18°. Rahu and Ketu are stationary in the 28° range until June 16th. This is NOT ideal worldwide. People, companies, and countries with planets or a rising sign between 0 and 1 degrees in even signs (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces) or between 26 and 30 degrees in odd signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius), should be careful and patient.
The Impact of the Transit Planets for each “Rising Sign” (not “Sun Sign”)
Aries: Be vigilant when speaking and to manage debts, disputes, health or legal issues relative to pets, children, education and investments. In general, be patient with stress and setbacks. Partnerships and joint ventures are subject to expenses and separations. Your best bet is with your spiritual practices. Get extra rest and focus on yoga, prayers, charities, meditation, etc. Gain from your self-efforts. There is support for income and friendships. There may be long-distance journeys through next March. Take care of father and religious figures until then as well.
Taurus: Take a leadership position and expect a lift with property, vehicles and home life. These, along with pets, children, education and investments are forefront. Be patient, however, at work to manage losses, expenses, separations and international ventures. There may also be debts, disputes, health or legal issues relative to income and friendships. Focus on writing, business, technology, communications and intellectual property through June. There may be a marriage, windfall, legal or insurance settlement from now through March 2023. Teach, publish and advise.
Gemini: Be patient for one more week to manage setbacks with income and friendships. There may also be expenses and separations connected with entrepreneurial ventures through June 14th. Property, vehicles, and home life may have similar issues and/or there may be a relocation through June. Connect with women in your career and focus on the fine, healing or performing arts. Redecorate your workplace. It appears you have support for your career – connected with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures or foreign lands – through next March.
Cancer: Be patient at work to manage setbacks and to avoid accidents. On the other hand, expect good fortune with property, vehicles and home. There should also be a lift with your wealth, status and family life. Gain from large, spiritual, medical or government organizations, as well as from father and authority figures. Focus on writing, business, technology, communications, and independent projects through June. These may bring income and friendships. You have support against debts, disputes, health or legal issues through next March — except when Jupiter is within three degrees of your rising sign degree – in any house – or is close to any other planet by aspect or conjunction.
Leo: Be vigilant to manage stress with father/religious figures or long-distance travel — connected with partnerships and joint ventures. Independent projects are also vulnerable and subject to setbacks. On the other hand, take a leadership position in the workplace. Ask for a raise or promotion; there may be an award or recognition for your efforts. Connect with leaders and large organizations. Focus on writing, business, technology, and communications through June. There may be mixed results with pets, children, education and investments – ranging from setbacks to marriage, windfalls, inheritance, etc. — through next March.
Virgo: Be careful to avoid accidents and to manage debts, disputes, health or legal issues relative to marriage, windfalls, or inheritances. Connect with father/religious figures and/or consider long distance travel. Be vigilant, however, with these to manage expenses or separations through mid-June. On the other hand, connect your wealth, status and family life with partnerships and joint ventures. Focus on writing, business, technology, and communications through June and expect good fortune with property, fixed assets and home life – connected with relationships through next March.
Libra: Be patient to manage debts, disputes, health or legal issues. There may also be setbacks with partnerships and joint ventures – connected with pets, children, education or investments. Income, friendships and siblings may be vulnerable or going through transformations. Expenses, separations, insomnia, intimacy issues, and trouble abroad — are possible through June. Your best bet is to lay low. Avoid creating or taking on stress. Focus on charities and your religious or spiritual practices. Expect less with entrepreneurial ventures through next March – except for those connected with law, medicine or finance.
Scorpio: Be patient to manage debts, disputes, health or legal issues – along with expenses, and separations with pets, children, education and investments. On the other hand, expect an improvement with your career, connected with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures or foreign lands. These are also associated with income, friendships or siblings. The slow-moving and favorable (for your chart) Jupiter and Saturn are transiting good houses. These should reduce the chance for grave mishaps or misfortunes from late May through next March.
Sagittarius: Be patient for another week to take care of pets, children, education and investments. On the other hand, expect income and friendships — connected with property, vehicles and home life. Finish up home decorating projects. Take care of father and religious figures through mid-June to manage related debts, disputes, health or legal issues. There may also be similar issues at work through June. Teach, publish and advise, working out of your home through next March. Divine grace may well be with you and your family for the next ten months.
Capricorn: Be patient to manage property, vehicles and home life. There may also be stress relative to father/religious figures, or long-distance travel. Connect your career with independent projects — involving women and the fine, healing or performing arts. Take care of pets, children, education and investments through mid-June. These may be vulnerable to setbacks. Your best bet is to focus on writing, business, technology, and communications through June. Connect independent projects with teaching, publishing, and consulting — associated with spiritual centers, institutions or foreign lands — through March.
Aquarius: Be vigilant to manage setbacks with independent projects and entrepreneurial ventures. There may also be stress with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures or foreign lands. In about ten days, there will be a window to connect property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life with relationships through June. Enjoy a taste of Utopia through July 11th. Many people will come to you for advice. Income and friendships should be there to support you – late May through next March. Teach, publish, consult and advise.
Pisces: Be patient to manage setbacks with your status. There may also be debts, disputes, health or legal issues — connected with marriage, partnerships and joint ventures. Women and the fine, healing or performing arts remain forefront. There may be a windfall. Connect relationships and comforts living abroad with independent projects associated with writing, business, technology and communications through June. Divine grace may be associated with your career late May through next March. Teach, publish, consult and advise. Career ideas abound. Many people will come to you for advice.
