Planetary Transits for October 2nd — October 8th
(Interpretations based on the Systemsʻ Approach to Vedic Astrology)
Note: Rahu and Ketu are stationary in the 19-degree range until Nov. 29th. As predicted last week, this prolonged and slow movement of Rahu and Ketu is seriously problematic, worldwide.

People, companies, and countries with rising signs between 17 and 21 degrees – or any planets between 17 and 21 degrees in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius should be especially careful and patient. (Anybody can take a three-day fever, but it is quite difficult to take a three-month fever.)
Transits for this Week:
Sun transits Virgo, from 14:49 to 21:43°. Sun is closely conjunct Venus until November 9th. Taurus, Scorpio and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries should be careful and patient.
Moon is waxing and transits Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
Mars transits Taurus, from 26:19 to 28:25°. Mars is weak in degrees until November 29th (same data as Rahu and Ketu). There may be issues for the police, military, athletes, surgeons, executives, engineers, and property matters.
Mercury transits its exaltation sign, Virgo, from 00:01 to 03:48°. Mercury is weak in degrees until October 10th. Be patient with stocks, business, technology, and communications.
Jupiter transits its own sign, Pisces, from 08:48 to 07:53°. Jupiter is in excellent strength. This should be favorable for law and justice – and sheds light on the illicit activities of deceptive and manipulative persons and organizations.
Jupiter is in retrograde motion until November 23rd. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a problem in general. Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA, Russia and Ukraine), however, should be careful and patient when Jupiter is within five degrees of their rising sign degree in any house, or any planet, by aspect or conjunction.
Venus transits its debilitation sign, from 09:25 to 18:09°. Venus is closely conjunct Sun until November 9th. Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries (including Ukraine) should be careful and patient.
Saturn transits Capricorn, from 24:46 to 24:34°. Saturn is in good strength degrees. There may be improvement for the masses, the elderly, the poor and needy, and working-class persons, along with manufacturing, agriculture and the oil, gas and minerals industries.
Saturn is in retrograde motion until October 23rd. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a problem for most people. The impact is primarily for Cancer, Virgo and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA and Russia) – and ONLY when Saturn is within five degrees of the rising sign degree, or any other planet, by aspect or conjunction.
Rahu and Ketu transit Aries and Libra, respectively, from 19:41 to 19:21°. Rahu and Ketu are now stationary in the 19-degree range until November 29th. The prolonged slow movement of Rahu and Ketu is generally not ideal, worldwide. Additionally, people, companies, and countries with planets or rising signs between 17 and 21 degrees in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius should be especially careful and patient.
The Impact of the Transit Planets for each “Rising Sign” (not “Sun Sign”)
Aries: Focus on your wealth, status and family life. Be direct and make decisions. Expect a good connection with children, education, investments, marriage, partnerships and joint ventures. Be vigilant, however, as these may also be vulnerable to debts, disputes, health or legal issues. Income and friendships remain favorably connected with your career through November. There may be expenses or separations with father/religious figures – along with travel, retreats, institutions and international ventures through mid-April.
Taurus: Connect property, vehicles and home life with pets, children, education and investments. Be patient, however, as property, vehicles and home life may be vulnerable to debts or disputes. Be vigilant with authority figures and large organizations; these are subject to stress and conflicts. Study business, finance, technology, investments and communications. Consider retreats, ashrams or international ventures through October 15th. Be competitive — but patient with expenses and separations. Focus on stocks, business, technology, communications and intellectual property through October 22nd. Good fortune is likely with your career through mid-January. There may be a marriage, windfall, legal or insurance settlement through March 2023. Teach, publish and advise.
Gemini: Expect a good connection with pets, children, education, investments, and independent projects. Property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life should also do well. Work out of your home on business, finance, technology and communications – associated with entrepreneurial ventures, authority figures, and large or government organizations through mid-October. Continue to be patient with income and friendship. Take care with father figures and long-distance journeys through mid-January. Count on success at work and with your career — associated with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures or foreign lands – through next March. Teach, publish, consult and advise.
Cancer: Expect a good connection with your status, family life, property, vehicles, and home life. Work out of your home on independent projects associated with writing, business, technology, communications and intellectual property. These, along with authority figures and large organizations, contribute to your success and productivity. Expect gains at work through mid-October. Connect with older people, but exercise patience with relationships through mid-January. You have protection against debts, disputes, health or legal issues through next March — except when Jupiter is close to your rising sign degree or any other planet in your horoscope by aspect or conjunction.
Leo: Expect a good connection between you and your own self-efforts, such as independent projects and entrepreneurial ventures. Focus on writing, business, finance, technology and communications. These support your wealth, status, family life, executive decisions and good fortune at work through mid-October. On the other hand, be patient with relationships, joint ventures, foreign lands, law and justice matters through mid-January. Mixed results are also likely with pets, children, education and investments – ranging from setbacks and obstructions to marriage, inheritance, windfalls, legal or insurance issues or settlements — through next mid-April.
Virgo: Take a leadership position, but be patient to manage expenses and separations associated with your wealth, status or family life. Expect mixed results on a personal level. Consider a retreat, foreign lands or institutional life. Take care of father/religious figures and be careful with long distance travel to manage setbacks and to avoid accidents. Enjoy the exalted Mercury in your first house through mid-October. Focus on writing, business, finances, writing, technology, communications and intellectual property. You also have Jupiter in its own sign, Pisces, in your seventh house through mid-April. This should be favorable for property, vehicles, and home life – connected with partnerships, joint ventures, or comforts living abroad.
Libra: Expect a positive trend between you, income, friendships and siblings. Be patient, however, as there may also be losses, expenses, and separations. Consider a retreat, ashram, long-distance venture or connection with institutional life through October 18th. These are forefront and favorable. Connect children, education and investments with property, vehicles and home life through mid-January. Consider independent projects connected with law, sports, medicine, finances, social work or psychology through next March.
Scorpio: Be patient with expenses and separations at work. There may also be institutions or international ventures associated with your career. Gain from writing, business, finances, technology, communications, income and friendships. Exercise patience with marriage, partnerships and joint ventures. These may be subject to debts, disputes or health issues. Work out of your home on independent projects through mid-Jan. The transit of Jupiter and Saturn in favorable houses (ruling your wealth, status, property, and family life), should support success through next March. Children, education and investments should also do well through mid-April.
Sagittarius: Expect good fortune with income and friendships — closely associated with your career. Take a leadership position at work and focus on writing, business, finance, technology, communications and intellectual property. Connect with authority figures and large organizations. Enjoy an exalted Mercury — blessing your tenth house of career until mid-October. On the other hand, continue to be patient with pets, children, education and investments – as these may be vulnerable to debts, disputes or health issues. Be conservative with entrepreneurial ventures through mid-January — but expect long-term success through March 2025. You also have Jupiter in its own sign, Pisces, in your fourth house until mid-April. This supports property, vehicles, and home life. Teach, publish and advise, from home. Divine grace is likely with you and your family.
Capricorn: Be vigilant with your career and other activities. These may be vulnerable to delays, setbacks, obstructions or accidents. Be patient with long-distance travel and father/religious figures through October 17th. Business, finance and communications should do well. Connect property, vehicles and home life with pets, children, education and investments through mid-October. Wealth, status and family life are forefront and favorable through mid-January. Focus on entrepreneurial ventures – teach, publish and advise – connected with institutions, spiritual/religious centers, or long-distance places through next mid-April.
Aquarius: Expect a good connection with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures, father/religious figures and long-distance travel or foreign lands. At the same time, however, be patient with these – as they may also be vulnerable to delays, setbacks, obstructions or accidents. There is protection for research, mystical sciences, windfalls, inheritance, legal or insurance settlements or lottery winnings. Continue to work out of your home on entrepreneurial ventures. Consider retreats, ashrams or institutions through mid-January. Income and friendships support your wealth, status and family life through next mid-April. Just be sure to speak up as a teacher, publisher, consultant or religious leader.
Pisces: Expect support for marriage, partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands. Connect these with writing, business, finance, technology and communications. However, be especially patient with debts, disputes, health or legal matters. These may be vulnerable or subject to setbacks, accidents, or obstructions. Fortunately, there is support for your own self-efforts and independent projects. Gain from hard work and service to other through mid-January, but there may also be expenses and separations with income, friendships or siblings through mid-January. The exalted (and Bhadra yoga) Mercury in your seventh house of relationships should add protective covering. Additionally, your saving grace is Jupiter in its own sign (Hamsa yoga) in your first house until next April. This should indicate favorable professional opportunities. Teach, publish, consult and advise. Many people will ask you for advice.
