Planetary Transits for January 15th – January 21st
(Interpretations based on the Systemsʻ Approach to Vedic Astrology)
Notes: Saturn transits out of Capricorn (where it has been for much of the time for the past three years) and into its own sign, Aquarius, on January 17th – where it will be until March 28, 2025. This is mostly favorable worldwide — with some exceptions that will be published in this report from time to time. See below for the impact for each rising sign.
Transits for this Week:
Sun transits Capricorn, from 00:37 to 07:45°. This connects leaders, physicians, administrators and government officials with the masses, the elderly, and the poor and the needy, along with agriculture, manufacturing and industrial activities.
Moon is waning and transits Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn. Moon, in Scorpio, is debilitated Jan. 17 – 18. Watch your emotional state and be vigilant in crowds and around volatile persons. The new Moon is in Capricorn, January 21st.
Mars transits Taurus, from 13:59 to 14:29° and is outside the orb of influence of other planets. This should be favorable for the police, military, athletes, surgeons, executives, engineers, and property matters.
Mars remains in Taurus until March 13th. Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius rising sign persons should be patient with income friendships and older siblings; partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands; and children, education and investments, respectively.
Mercury transits Sagittarius, from 14:46 to 14:49°. This connects stocks, business, finance, technology, communications and intellectual property with law and justice. (President Biden Under Fire for Classified Documents.)
Jupiter transits its own sign, Pisces, from 08:39 to 10:07° and is outside the orb or influence of other planets. This is favorable for law and justice – and sheds light on the illicit activities of deceptive and manipulative persons and organizations. Venus transits Capricorn, from 21:02 to 29:48°. This connects women and the fine, healing and performing arts with the masses, the elderly, the poor and needy, and being of service to others.
Saturn transits out of Capricorn (where it has been for much of the past three years) and into its own sign, Aquarius, on January 17th at 6:34 a.m. CST. Saturn then remains in Aquarius until late March 2025. This is mostly favorable worldwide, with some exceptions that will be published here from time to time. Saturn is weak in degrees until after mid-Feb., so it may be a few more weeks before we start to see favorable results.
Rahu and Ketu transit Aries and Libra, respectively, from 15:54 to 15:16°. People, companies, and countries with rising signs between 12 and 18 degrees, or with planets between 14 and 21 degrees in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, should be especially careful and patient.
The Impact of the Transit Planets for each “Rising Sign” (not “Sun Sign”)
Aries: Focus on your wealth, status and family life through March 12th. Expect success with property and your family life. Connect your career with women, partnerships and joint ventures. Connect children, education and investments with your career. Take a leadership position in the workplace through mid-Feb. and connect with authority figures. Long distance travel is possible through mid-April. Saturn will be in your eleventh house until late March 2025.This should be favorable for income and friendships – connected with hard work and being of service to others. You can also earn from things of the earth, such as oil, gas, minerals, agriculture, manufacturing and sustainable living.
Taurus: Expect good fortune with property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life though mid-Feb. Seek advice from the women in your life and continue to manage issues with guru and father figures or long-distance travel – for one more week. Take care of pets, children, education and investments through Feb. 6th. These have been vulnerable since early Dec. Be patient with income and friendships through mid-April. Saturn will be in your tenth house until late March 2025. This should be especially favorable for leadership of the masses in your professional life. Work hard and be of service to others. Connect your work with things of the earth such as oil, gas, minerals, agriculture, manufacturing or sustainable living.
Gemini: Be patient with delays and setbacks with entrepreneurial ventures through mid-Feb. Connect property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life with marriage, partnerships and joint ventures through Feb. 6th. Take care of pets, children, education and investments for one more week. Income and friendships remain subject to expenses and separations – or long-distance ventures and relocation — through mid-March. Focus on teaching, publishing and consulting – and expect good fortune in the workplace through mid-April. Saturn will be in your ninth house until late March 2025. This is a significant improvement from where it has been for the past three years! Good fortune comes to you through hard work, religious or spiritual pursuits and being of service to others, (consider involvement in oil, gas, minerals, manufacturing, agriculture, social work, physical therapy or sustainable living).
Cancer: Expect a lift with your wealth, status and family life through mid-Feb. Connect these, along with property, vehicles and home life with marriage, partnerships and joint ventures. Continue to be vigilant with communications, independent projects and entrepreneurial ventures through Feb. 6th to manage debts or disputes. On the other hand, count on income and friendships in the workplace through mid-March. You also have some protection against personal debts, disputes, health or legal issues through mid-April. Saturn will be in your eighth house until late March 2025. This is an improvement over stress in relationships for the past three years. This is also favorable for windfalls, inheritance, legal or insurance settlements and marriage. There may be gains from things of the earth, such as oil, gas, minerals, agriculture, building, manufacturing, social work or sustainable living.
Leo: Be patient for one more week with stress connected with communications and entrepreneurial ventures. Additionally, be vigilant through mid-February to manage personal debts, disputes, health or legal issues. Continue to study or research writing, business, language, brokering, and technology – connected with children, education and investments through Feb. 6th. Make executive decisions, consider property matters and expect good fortune at work through mid-March. Mixed results are likely with children, education and investments through mid-April. Saturn will be in your seventh house until late March 2025. This is a significant improvement over stress in relationships for the past three years. Expect success with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures and “comforts” living abroad. Virgo: Spend another week studying or investing in the fine, healing or performing arts. Focus on property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life through Feb. 6th. Work out of your home on writing, business, communications and intellectual property. These may be connected with expenses or separations with pets, children, education or investments through mid-Feb. Take care of father/religious figures and with long-distance journeys through mid-March. Jupiter, in Pisces, should add protective covering through mid-April — and is favorable for marriage, property, vehicles, home life, partnerships, joint ventures, and living abroad. Saturn will be in your sixth house until late March 2025. This may provide protective covering against personal debts, disputes, health or legal issues and give you the power to overcome enemies and obstacles and to win in conflicts. Libra: Spend another week on property, vehicles and home life. You can also expect gains, income and friendships associated with these through mid-Feb. Be patient, however, with expenses or separations with communications, independent projects and entrepreneurial ventures through Feb. 21st – and/or with debts or disputes with these through mid-April. Marriage, partnerships and joint ventures may also be vulnerable through mid-March. Saturn will be in your fifth house until late March 2025. This should be favorable for pets, children/grandchildren (including step or adopted), along with educational and investment opportunities. Consider antiques, older properties and things of the earth, such as oil, gas, minerals, agriculture, manufacturing and sustainable living. Your thinking may be imaginative, inventive, and unconventional — with a focus on humanitarian efforts.
Scorpio: Continue to be patient for another week with losses, expenses and separations against entrepreneurial ventures. On the other hand, income and friendships are on your side through Feb. 26th. There may also be status for you with writing, business, technology and intellectual property. Relationships remain vulnerable to debts, disputes, health or legal issues through mid-March. Fortunately, Jupiter and Saturn add protective covering through March. Children, education, investments and spiritual pursuits should do well through mid-April. Sagittarius: Enjoy another week of income and friendships. Career opportunities remain forefront through Feb. 6th. Focus on writing, business, technology, communications and intellectual property. Take care of pets, children, education and investments through mid-March; these may involve debts, disputes, health or legal issues. Jupiter, in Pisces, is favorable for property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life through mid-April. Teach, publish and advise – working from your home. Saturn will be in your third house until late March 2025. Capricorn: Continue to focus on career opportunities – connected with women and the fine, healing or performing arts — for another week. Be patient with expenses or separations with father and religious figures through Feb. 6th. Take a leadership position, but also be patient to manage delays and setbacks and to avoid accidents through mid-Feb. Research, marriage, insurance, inheritance, or windfalls are likely forefront during this time. Connect property, vehicles, and home life with pets, children, education and investments through mid-March. Teach, publish and advise through mid-April. Saturn will be in your second house until late March 2025. This is favorable for your wealth, social status, family and professional life. Pisces: Be patient for one more week with income and friendships. On the other hand, there may be a few more gains connected with women, beauty, and/or the fine, healing or performing arts. Connect partnerships and joint ventures with your career – and focus on writing, business, technology, communications and intellectual property through Feb. 6th. Expect success with independent projects through mid-March. Jupiter brings good fortune and career opportunities through mid-April. Teach, publish, consult and advise. Many people will come to you for advice. Saturn will be in your twelfth house until late March 2025. This may be favorable for relocation, travel or life abroad, and working with institutions – including prisons, retreats, ashrams, hospitals, clinics and spas, and educational organizations. Marriage, intimacy and sleep patterns should improve. There is some protection against losses, expenses, hospitalization or imprisonment.
