In the SAMVA* chart for the USA, transit 6^th house ruler, Jupiter, is closely conjunct the 4^th house ruler, Venus. This is likely to cause debts, disputes, mental tension, health and legal issues with property, the weather, and domestic peace through the national election, especially August 15 – October 15, when Jupiter and Venus are in close conjunction.  (Cases in point:  Wildfires in Colorado and California and the derecho in Iowa.)

Election Comment:

In the chart for President Trump, the operating planet, Saturn, ruling the 7^th house of marriage, partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands, is transiting his 6^th house of debts, disputes, health and legal issues through April 2022. This is clearly not ideal for domestic and international relationships.

Moreover, transit Rahu and Ketu will afflict 5 planets, (Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu) from mid-September through November. This indicates serious problems during the campaign and most likely an eclipse of his reelection.

Speculation remains with the birth time and horoscope for Vice President Biden; no prediction with his chart can be made with absolute confidence.

Where the Vedic Astrology Planets are this Week

• Sun transits its own sign, Leo, from 03:30 to 10:15°. Sun is under the 7^th aspect of Ketu until August 24^th. This brings spirituality to the world, but leaders, physicians, administrators and governments are subject to delays, setbacks, obstructions and disappointments.
• Moon is waxing and transits Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio.
• Mars transits its own sign, Aries, from 01:03 to 02:40°. Mars is under the 5^th aspect of Ketu, until mid-Sept. This is not ideal for sports, surgeons, the military, police, property, construction, engineering, executives, et al. Stay well-rested and do your best to avoid conflicts.
• Mercury transits Leo, from 06:08 to 19:36°. Mercury is co-dependent on the Sun, which is under the influence of Ketu. This brings spiritual experiences to the world, but is likely to cause setbacks with stocks, business, technology, communications, and intellectual property.
• Jupiter transits its own sign of Sagittarius, from 24:09 to 23:42°. Jupiter is in good strength, which should be helpful for the law, religion and education. Jupiter is under the 7^th aspect of Venus until August 29^th. Taurus, Scorpio and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries should be careful and patient.
• Jupiter is in retrograde motion until Sept. 13^th.  The adverse effects of this transit are only for Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA) – and only when Jupiter is within 5 degrees of the rising sign degree (in any house) or another planet by aspect or conjunction.
• Venus transits Gemini, from 17:56 to 25:06°. Venus is under the 7^th aspect of Jupiter until August 29^th. Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies, and countries (including USA) should be careful and patient.
• Saturn transits Capricorn, from 02:25 to 02:03°. Saturn is in retrograde motion, May 11 – Sept. 29. The adverse effects of this transit are only for Cancer, Virgo and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA) – and only when Saturn is within 5 degrees of the rising sign degree (in any house) or another planet by aspect or conjunction.
• Rahu and Ketu transit Gemini and Sagittarius, respectively, from 03:08 to 02:39°. Persons, companies and countries with planets in “odd” signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius) between 1 and 4 degrees — or whenever Rahu or Ketu are within 5 degrees of their rising sign degree (in any house), or any planet (by aspect or conjunction) should be careful and patient.

• Taurus:  Connect children, education, and investments with property, vehicles and home life. Turn your house into a palace and work out of your home on writing, business, technology and communications. Be vigilant to avoid disputes. Be patient with expenses, separations or insomnia through mid-Sept. There may be a windfall before mid-Nov. Expect good fortune at work, for the most part, through April 2022.
• Gemini: Connect property, vehicles, home life, writing, business and communications with entrepreneurial ventures. Expect success through mid-September.
