Tonight I stumbled upon an article written by Joanna Walters and Edward Helmore about David Bowie.
There have been tons of articles written since David Bowie’s recent death. However, this one caught my eye because the title was:
David Bowie’s last days: an 18-month burst of creativity
All other articles talked of David Bowies “18 month battle with cancer” and here, this article chose to look at the positive side and focus on the amazing things that Bowie accomplished in his final months.
Of course, I immediately wanted to know what the positive influences were in David Bowie’s chart during this “18 month burst of creativity.”
Using the birth information of Jan. 8, 1947, 9:00 a.m., in London, England I pulled up David Bowie’s chart. Sure enough, 18 months ago he went into a Venus sub period ruling his tenth house of career and sitting in the eleventh house of gains, income, and fulfillment of desires. Venus rules the fine arts and performing arts.
After his Venus sub period which ran from approximately April 2013 until the end of December 2014 he went into a Sun sub period from December 2014 until the end of June 2015. Sun is sitting in the sign of Sagittarius which is ruled by Jupiter, Jupiter is in the tenth house of career ruled by Venus. Again, a beautiful Venus connection urging him to get creative and connect his income and fulfillment of desires with the fine arts and performing arts.
The amazing energy doesn’t stop there. From the end of June 2015 until the end of November 2015 he ran his Mars sub period. Mars is also sitting in the sign of Sagittarius which is ruled by Jupiter which is ruled by…You guessed it. Venus!
David Bowie was in his Rahu sub period at the time of his death. The main period was Mars which is in close conjunction with the eighth house ruler of death (Sun) and Mars is sitting in the twelfth house (end of life).
The transit of Rahu can be much more difficult to manage during a Rahu sub period and Rahu and Ketu (the northern and southern nodes of the Moon) were afflicting both his transit and his natal Jupiter which rules the liver. He died from liver cancer.
I don’t think I’ll ever stop being fascinated by David Bowie or the timing of events seen only by Vedic Astrology.
You will be missed Bowie.
“It’s only forever, not long at all.”
