Planetary Transits for October 9th — October 15th
(Interpretations based on the Systemsʻ Approach to Vedic Astrology)
Note: Rahu and Ketu are stationary in the 19-degree range from Sept. 23rd until Nov. 29th. The prolonged (10-week) slow movement of Rahu and Ketu is not ideal — worldwide.
It may be best — for you and your family — to be careful and patient. Avoid negative persons and do not take risks or chances.
People, companies, and countries with rising signs between 17 and 21 degrees, or with planets between 17 and 21 degrees in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius should be especially careful and patient.
Transits for this Week:
Sun transits Virgo, from 21:43 to 28:38°. Sun is closely conjunct Venus until November 9th. This connects the government with women, medicine, luxuries, the arts and entertainment. Taurus, Scorpio and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries should be careful and patient.
Moon is waxing/waning and transits Pisces, Aries, Taurus and into Gemini. The full (Hunter’s) Moon is in Pisces, October 9th at 3:54 p.m. CDT.
Mars transits out of Taurus and into Gemini, October 15th at 8:05 p.m. CDT. Mars is weak in degrees until November 29th. There may be issues for the police, military, athletes, surgeons, executives, engineers, and property matters.
Mercury transits its exaltation sign, Virgo, from 03:48 to 13:11°. This should be favorable for stocks, business, technology, and communications. Mercury is under the seventh aspect of Jupiter until October 15th. Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA, Russia and Ukraine) should be careful and patient.
Jupiter transits its own sign, Pisces, from 07:53 to 07:03°. Jupiter is in excellent strength. This should be favorable for law and justice – and sheds light on the illicit activities of deceptive and manipulative persons and organizations (e.g., those involved in the Jan. 6th insurrection and/or other illegal or fraudulent practices.)
Jupiter is in retrograde motion until November 23rd. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a problem in general. Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA, Russia and Ukraine), however, should be careful and patient when Jupiter is within five degrees of their rising sign degree in any house, or any planet, by aspect or conjunction.
Venus transits its debilitation sign, from 18:09 to 26:54°. Venus is closely conjunct Sun until November 9th. Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries (including Ukraine) should be careful and patient.
Saturn transits Capricorn, from 24:34 to 24:27°. Saturn is in good strength degrees. This may be helpful for the masses, the elderly, the poor and needy, and working-class persons, along with manufacturing, agriculture, sustainable living, and the oil, gas and minerals industries.
Saturn is in retrograde motion until October 23rd. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a problem for most people. The impact is primarily for Cancer, Virgo and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA and Russia) – and ONLY when Saturn is within five degrees of the rising sign degree, or any other planet, by aspect or conjunction.

The Impact of the Transit Planets for each “Rising Sign” (not “Sun Sign”)
Aries: Spend another week on your wealth, status and family life. Be direct and make decisions. Expect a good connection with children, education, investments, marriage, partnerships and joint ventures. Be vigilant, however, as these – along with father/religious figures and long-distance travel, may also be vulnerable to debts, disputes, health or legal issues. Income and friendships remain favorably connected with your career through November. Expenses or separations remain likely with father/religious figures and long-distance travel through mid-April.
Taurus: Connect property, vehicles and home life with children, education and investments. Be patient, however, as all of these may be vulnerable to debts or disputes. Be careful dealing with authority figures and large organizations; these may be subject to conflicts. Retreats, ashrams or international ventures may be forefront through October 15th. Stay competitive — but be patient with expenses, insomnia, intimacy and separations. Focus on stocks, business, technology, communications and intellectual property through October 26th. Good fortune is likely with your career through mid-January. There may be a marriage, windfall, legal or insurance settlement through March 2023. Teach, publish and advise.
Gemini: There is a good connection with pets, children, education, investments, and independent projects. Property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life should also do well. Work out of your home on business, finance, technology and communications – associated with entrepreneurial ventures, authority figures, and large or government organizations through October 26th. Income and friendships should improve starting next week. Take care with father figures and long-distance journeys through mid-January. Count on good fortune with your career — connected with marriage, partnerships, joint/international ventures – through next March. Teach, publish, consult and advise.
Cancer: There is still a favorable connection with family, property, vehicles, home life or international ventures. Continue to work out of your home on projects involving business, technology, communications and intellectual property. These, along with authority figures and large organizations, contribute to your success. Entrepreneurial ventures should do well through Oct. 26th. Be patient with income and friendships through mid-Nov., and with relationships through mid-January. On the other hand, you should have protection against debts, disputes, health or legal issues through next March — except when Jupiter is close to your rising sign degree or any other planet in your horoscope by aspect or conjunction.
Leo: Expect support for your own self-efforts, independent projects and entrepreneurial ventures. These contribute to your wealth, status, family, decisions and good fortune at work through mid-October. Focus on writing, business, finance, technology and communications through Oct. 26th. On the other hand, be patient with relationships, joint ventures, foreign lands, law and justice matters through mid-January. Mixed results are also likely with children, education and investments – ranging from setbacks and obstructions to marriage, inheritance, windfalls, legal or insurance issues or settlements — through next mid-April.
Virgo: Spend another week on leadership, but be patient with expenses and separations against your wealth, status or family life. Expect improvement on a personal level. Get a haircut, buy new clothes and consider a day spa. Things should ease with father/religious figures next week. Take advantage of the exalted Mercury in your first house – and focus on business, finances, technology, communications and intellectual property through Oct. 26th. You also have Jupiter in Pisces in your seventh house through mid-April. This should be favorable for property, vehicles, and home life – connected with partnerships, joint ventures, or comforts living abroad.
Libra: Expect a positive trend between you, income, siblings, and friendships. Be patient, however, as there may also be expenses, and separations with these as well. Consider a retreat, ashram, long-distance venture or connect with institutions. These are favorable through October 26th. Connect children, education and investments with property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life through mid-January. Consider independent projects associated with law, sports, medicine, finances, social work or psychology through mid-April – but be vigilant with communications to manage debts and disputes.
Scorpio: Connect your career with institutions or international ventures, but be patient with expenses and separations at work. Gain from writing, business, finances, technology, communications, income and friendships through Oct. 26th. Exercise care with marriage, partnerships and joint ventures for one more week. These may be subject to debts, disputes or health issues. Work out of your home on independent projects through mid-Jan. The transit of Jupiter and Saturn in favorable houses (ruling your wealth, status, property, and family life), should be helpful through next March. Children, education and investments may also do well through mid-April.
Sagittarius: Be careful for one more week with children and investments to manage debts, disputes or health issues. Expect good fortune with income and friendships at work. Focus on leadership and connect with authority figures and large organizations. Enjoy the exalted Mercury (Bhadra Yoga) — blessing your tenth house of career through Oct. 26th. Work on writing, business, finance, technology, communications and intellectual property. Be conservative with entrepreneurial ventures through mid-January — but expect long-term success through March 2025. You also have Jupiter in its own sign, Pisces, in your fourth house until mid-April. This supports property, vehicles, and home life. Teach, publish and advise, from home. Divine grace is likely with you and your family.
Capricorn: Finalize the connection between property, vehicles, home life, children and investments. Take care of father/religious figures and with long-distance travel, also for one more week. These remain vulnerable. Writing, languages, business, brokering, finance, technology and communications should do well through Oct. 26th. On the other hand, be patient with your career until November 9th. There may be setbacks, accidents or obstructions at work. Your wealth, status and family life remain favorable through mid-January. Focus on entrepreneurial ventures – teach, publish and advise – associated with institutions, spiritual or religious centers, and long-distance places through next mid-April.
Aquarius: Finish up independent projects and entrepreneurial ventures at home. There is a strong connection between partnerships, joint ventures, father/religious figures and long-distance travel or foreign lands. Be patient, however, as these may also be vulnerable to delays, setbacks, obstructions or accidents. On the other hand, there should be protection for marriage, research, mystical sciences, windfalls, inheritance, legal or insurance settlements or lottery winnings through October 26th. Consider retreats, ashrams or institutions through mid-January. Income and friendships support your wealth, status and family life through next mid-April. Speak up as a teacher, publisher, consultant or religious leader.
Pisces: Spend one more week on independent projects involving property matters. Be patient with relationships, however, to manage debts, disputes, health or legal issues. On the other hand, you should be able to count on partnerships, joint ventures and international ventures through October 26th. Connect these with business, finance, technology and communications. Take care of your health, marriage, finances, legal or insurance matters – as these may be vulnerable through Nov. 9th. Gain from hard work and service to others – but be patient with expenses and separations with income, friendships or siblings through mid-January. The exalted Mercury, ruling relationships, should add protective covering. Moreover, your saving grace is Jupiter in its own sign of Pisces in your first house until next April. This indicates favorable professional opportunities. Teach, publish, consult and advise. Many people will come to you for advice.
