Planetary Transits for December 11th – December 17th
(Interpretations based on the Systemsʻ Approach to Vedic Astrology)
Notes: Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are in good strength this week. This should be helpful for their general and particular significations.
Rahu and Ketu completed their 11-week stationary positions in the 19-degree range on December 7th. Continue to be careful, however, until they increase their motion, around December 24th.
Transits for this Week:
Sun transits out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, Dec. 15th at 10:29 p.m. CST. Sun is weak in degrees until Dec. 20th. Leaders, presidents, surgeons, administrators and government officials may benefit from extra rest.
Moon is waning and transits Gemini, Cancer, Leo and Virgo.
Mars transits Taurus, from 20:46 to 18:18°. This should be favorable for the police, military, athletes, surgeons, executives, engineers, and property matters. Mars is in retrograde motion until Jan. 12th. This may cause issues for Taurus, Scorpio and Virgo rising signs – whenever Mars is within five degrees of another planet or the rising sign degree, by aspect or conjunction.
Mars remains in Taurus until March 13th. Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius rising sign persons may want to be patient with income friendships and older siblings; partnerships, joint ventures and foreign lands; and children, education and investments, respectively.
Mercury transits Sagittarius, from 12:11 to 21:44°. Mercury comes under the eighth aspect of Mars and the ninth aspect of Rahu. Expect fluctuations with stocks, business, technology and communications. Taurus, Scorpio and Virgo rising sign persons, companies and countries (including India) should be especially careful and patient.
Jupiter transits its own sign, Pisces, from 05:08 to 05:37°. This should be favorable for law and justice – and sheds light on the illicit activities of deceptive and manipulative persons and organizations (e.g., those involved in the Jan. 6th insurrection and other illegal or fraudulent practices.)
Venus transits Sagittarius, from 07:11 to 15:58°. Venus is in strong degrees and is ruled by a strong Jupiter. This should be favorable for the significations for Venus, such as women, luxuries, romance, medicine, entertainment and the fine, healing and performing arts.
Saturn transits Capricorn, from 26:23 to 26:57°. This should be helpful for the masses, the elderly, the poor and needy, and working-class persons, along with manufacturing, agriculture, sustainable living, and the oil, gas and minerals industries. (Gas prices continue to decrease, which is favorable for the masses.)
Rahu and Ketu transit Aries and Libra, respectively, from 18:39 to 18:20°. Rahu and Ketu completed their (11-week) stationary positions in the 19-degree range on December 7th. Continue to be careful, however, until they increase their motion, around December 24th. Additionally, people, companies, and countries with rising signs between 15 and 21 degrees, or with planets between 15 and 21 degrees in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, should be especially careful and patient.
The Impact of the Transit Planets for each “Rising Sign” (not “Sun Sign”)
Aries: Be patient with delays or setbacks through Dec. 15th relative to pets, children, education, investments and authority figures. Take care of father/religious figures through Dec. 27th. These may involve short-lived debts, disputes or health issues. Expect good fortune with partnerships, joint ventures and life abroad – but also be patient with expenses and separations with these through Dec. 29th. Focus on your wealth, status and family life through mid-March. Make decision and be direct (but compassionate) when speaking. Be of service to others. You should be able to count on income and friendships at work through mid-Jan. Expenses or separations remain possible with father or religious figures and travel through mid-April. Money and friendships should be favorable through March 2025.
Taurus: Connect property, vehicles, and home life with partnerships, joint ventures or foreign lands through Dec. 15th. Be patient with short-lived setbacks with pets, children, education or investments through Dec. 27th. Take care of your health and to avoid debts and disputes; these may also be vulnerable to short-lived problems through Dec. 29th. Good fortune at work is with you through mid-January. Retreats, institutions, or foreign lands may be forefront through mid-March. Take action, make decisions and consider yoga, sports, or martial arts. There may be a marriage, windfall, legal or insurance settlement through March. Earn money from teaching, publishing and advisory roles through mid-April.
Gemini: Continue to be patient through Dec. 15th to manage debts or disputes with communications and entrepreneurial ventures – and then expect a lift. Connect property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life with partnerships, joint ventures and long-distance places through Dec. 27th. Make the same connection with relationships relative to pets, children, education and investments. Take care of father and religious figures and with long-distance journeys through mid-January. Be patient with income and friendships. These may vulnerable to expenses and separations – or retreats, institutions or foreign lands – through mid-March. On the other hand, you should be able to count on good fortune with your career — connected with marriage, partnerships, joint ventures or long-distance places – through mid-April. Teach, publish, consult and advise.
Cancer: Continue to connect your wealth, status, speech and family life with pets, children, education and investments through Dec. 15th. Be vigilant, however, with communications and independent projects to avoid short-lived debts and disputes through Dec. 27th. Same holds true for property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life through Dec. 29th. Relationships, in general, may be vulnerable to setbacks through mid-January. Fortunately, you should be able to count on income and friendships at work through mid-March! You also have some protection against debts, disputes, health or legal issues through next March — except when transit Jupiter is close to your rising sign degree — or any planet in your horoscope — by aspect or conjunction, in any house or sign.
Leo: Continue to focus on property, vehicles, fixed assets and family life through December 15th. Study writing, business, finance, brokering, and communications through Dec. 27th. You can also invest in your own self-initiatives and entrepreneurial ventures through Dec. 29th. Make decisions and expect property matters and good fortune at work through mid-March. Remain patient, however, with relationships, joint ventures, and foreign lands through mid-January. Mixed results are likely with children, education and investments – ranging from setbacks, accidents, and obstructions to marriage, inheritance, windfalls, legal or insurance issues — through mid-April.
Virgo: Be patient with communications and entrepreneurial activities through Dec. 15th. These may be vulnerable to expenses or separations. Focus on property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life through Dec. 29th. Redecorate your home and consider a new car. Work out of your home on writing, business, technology, communications and intellectual property. You can also work on the fine, healing or performing arts. Continue to protect your pets, children, education and investments through mid-Jan. These may be vulnerable to debts, disputes or health issues. Take care of father/religious figures and with long-distance journeys through mid-March. Jupiter, in its own sign in your seventh house through mid-April, should add protective covering — and is favorable for marriage, property, vehicles, home life, partnerships, joint ventures, and living abroad.
Libra: Enjoy another week of income and friendships relative to your wealth, status and family life. Focus on communications and independent projects associated with women, medicine, luxuries, entertainment and the fine, healing or performing arts – along with writing, business, technology and intellectual property. Be patient, however, with short-lived expenses or separations with these through Dec. 27th. Connect pets, children, education and investments with property, vehicles, and home life through mid-January. Be vigilant, however, with partnerships, joint ventures or living abroad through mid-March. These may be vulnerable to setbacks. Consider independent projects — involving law, medicine, finances, social work, psychology and being of service to others through mid-April – but be careful to manage debts and disputes with these as well.
Scorpio: Enjoy another week of leadership, career opportunities and connections with father and authority figures. There may be income and friendships associated with your status and family life – along with short-lived expenses, separations or long-distance ventures through late Dec. Communication arts, finance, business and technology may contribute to your status and family life through late December. Work out of your home on independent projects through mid-Jan. Be vigilant, however, with partnerships through mid-March. Fortunately, the transit of Jupiter and Saturn through favorable houses should add protective covering through March. Children, education, investments and spiritual pursuits should do well through mid-April.
Sagittarius: Be patient with the stresses you encountered over the past three weeks. You should be able to expect improvement after Dec. 15th. Focus on your career, along with writing, business, technology, communications and the fine, healing or performing arts. Get a haircut, buy new clothes and consider a day spa. Income and friendships are forefront. Entrepreneurial ventures should do well through mid-January. Take care of pets, children, education and investments through mid-March; these may involve debts, disputes, health or legal issues. Jupiter, in your fourth house until mid-April, is favorable for property, vehicles, fixed assets and home life. Teach, publish and advise — from home. Divine grace is likely with you and your family.
Capricorn: Continue to be patient with income and friendships through December 15th. On the other hand, there may also be gains from large organizations or authority figures. Connect your work and career with retreats, institutions or long-distance places, but be patient to manage expenses and separations with these — through late December. Father and religious figures may also be vulnerable. Fortunately, your status and family life are favorable through mid-January. Connect property, vehicles, and home life with pets, children, education and investments through mid-March. Focus on independent projects – teach, publish and advise – relative to institutions, spiritual or religious centers, or foreign lands through mid-April.
Aquarius: Spend another week on leadership, partnerships, or international ventures relative to your career. Last week to ask for a raise or promotion. On the other hand, be patient with short-lived setbacks with income and friendships through Dec. 27th. At the same time, there may be good fortune with women, medicine, luxuries, entertainment and the fine, healing or performing arts. You can also focus on writing, business, technology, communications and intellectual property. Expenses and separations, along with retreats, institutions or international ventures may remain forefront through mid-January. Work out of your home on independent projects through mid-March. Income and friendships support your status and family life through next mid-April. Speak up as a teacher, publisher, consultant or religious leader.
Pisces: Take care of father/religious figures and be careful with long-distance travel through Dec. 15th. Connect your career with marriage, partnerships and joint ventures through late Dec. On the other hand, be patient with short-lived professional setbacks, also through late Dec. Focus on women, writing, business, technology, communications and/or design, fashion, luxuries, entertainment and the fine, healing or performing arts. Gain from being of service to others, but expect less with income and friendships through mid-January. You should have success with independent projects involving property, yoga, sports, martial arts and your organizing skills through mid-March. Jupiter remains in your first house until mid-April. This should bring both luck and career opportunities. Teach, publish, consult and advise. Many people will come to you for advice.
