A lot of my life coaching clients and friends have asked me recently for advice on how to eat healthier. This is something that has taken me a while to get good at myself. I’ve always been the type of person who is on the go running from one activity to the next. I often times forget to eat and the last thing I want to do is add going to the grocery store to my list of things to do.
Part of life coaching is helping other people prioritize tasks and minimize hassle. Why not utilize these ideas in my own life? I scoured the internet (mainly Pinterest) for ideas and finally came across a guide to meal planning that made everything so simple! Every week (Preferably on a Sunday morning (before the church crowd descends upon the local grocery store) I shop for all the ingredients I’ll need in order to eat healthy throughout the week.
The website I found called OhMyVeggies has meal plans that are killer! Not only do you get awesome inspiration for what to cook, but you also get a complete shopping list that corresponds with each week of recipes for ultimate convenience. The best part? It’s completely free (aside from the groceries you need to purchase, of course.)
I have found that the average week of groceries is around $60 to purchase and that’s with buying mostly organic!
If you’d like to add chicken, fish, or other meat to the meals you can do this as well quite easily, but all recipes are vegetarian or vegan based to begin with.
Here are some of the quick, easy, and delicious meals I’ve made over the past few weeks. Give it a try!
