Planetary Transits for July 15th – August14th

                                                 (Interpretations based on the Systemsʻ Approach to Vedic Astrology)

Note: This report is published on the 15^th day of the month. This coincides with the transit of the Sun, which follows the same pattern every year. “Watching the Sun” is a helpful guide for your monthly activities.

Notable Transits:

Rahu and Ketu are stationary in the 24-degree range between July 24^th and October 7^th. This prolonged position increases stress over time – and things may go from bad to worse. About a month later, the light of day returns.

Those people, countries, and companies with rising sign degrees between 19 and 29 degrees, or any planets in the odd signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius or Aquarius), between 19 and 29 degrees, should be careful and patient — and perform the planetary remedies for their horoscopes to manage the situation.

Planetary Transits

Sun transits Cancer until August 16^th at 3:22 p.m. CDT. This connects leaders, physicians, administrators and government officials with public institutions, such as hotels, restaurants, educational, entertainment, import/export (tariffs), prisons, hospitals, clinics, spas, et al. Sun is closely conjunct Mercury, July 29^th – August 4^th. Aries, Libra and Aquarius rising signs should be careful and patient, as Mercury rules their sixth, twelfth, and eighth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Moon transits Aquarius — through the full zodiac and into Aries. The new Moon is in Cancer, July 24^th. Moon, in Scorpio, is in its debilitation sign, August 2nd – August 4^th.  Watch your emotional state and be vigilant in crowds and around volatile people. The full (sturgeon) Moon is in Capricorn, August at 2:53 a.m., CDT.

Mars transits Leo until July 27^th.  Mars is closely conjunct Ketu, under the seventh aspect of Rahu, July 15^th – July 27^th. There may be serious issues related to police, military, athletes, surgeons, engineers, executives, and property matters.

Mars transits Virgo from July 28^th to September 13^th. Mars is under the seventh aspect of Saturn, August 1^st – August 15^th. Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces rising signs should be careful and patient, as Saturn rules their eighth, sixth, and twelfth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Mercury transits Cancer from 21:00 to 10:55°.  Mercury is in retrograde motion July 18^th – August 11^th. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a problem for most people. The issues only arise for Aries, Libra and Aquarius rising signs, and only when Mercury is within five-degrees of a person’s rising sign degree (in any house) or is within five-degrees of another planet by aspect or conjunction. Due to its retrograde motion, Mercury remains in Cancer through August 29^th.

Mercury is closely conjunct Sun, July 29^th – August 4^th. Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces rising signs should be careful and patient as Sun rules their twelfth, eighth, and sixth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Jupiter transits Gemini from 13:48 to 20:26°. Jupiter is closely conjunct Venus, August 7^th – August 17^th. Taurus, Scorpio, and Pisces rising signs should be careful and patient as Venus rules their sixth, twelfth, and eighth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Jupiter remains in Gemini until June 1^st, 2026. Cancer, Capricorn, and Scorpio rising signs should be careful and patient, as Jupiter is in their twelfth, sixth, and eighth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Venus transits Taurus through July 25^th. Venus transits Gemini, July 26^th – August 19^th. Venus is under the fifth aspect of Rahu, August 11^th – August 19^th.  Take care of the women in your life. Watch for news about well-known women.

Venus is closely conjunct Jupiter, August 7^th – August 17^th. Taurus, Cancer, and Capricorn rising signs should be careful and patient as Jupiter rules their eighth, sixth, and twelfth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Saturn transits Pisces, from 07:42 to 06:46°. Saturn is in retrograde motion until November 27^th. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a problem for most people. The issues only arise for Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces rising signs, and only when Saturn is within five-degrees of a person’s rising sign degree (in any house) or is within five-degrees of another planet by aspect or conjunction.

Saturn remains in Pisces until June 3^rd, 2027. Aries, Leo, and Libra rising signs should be patient as Saturn is in their twelfth, eighth, and sixth (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Rahu and Ketu transit Aquarius and Leo, from 25:32 to 24:20°. Those persons, companies or countries with rising sign degrees between 19 and 29 are advised to be careful and patient.  Additionally, those with horoscopes with planets in odd-numbered signs (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11) — Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius — are advised to be vigilant whenever Rahu or Ketu are within five degrees of any planet, by aspect or conjunction.

Impact of transit Rahu in Aquarius and transit Ketu in Leo

After spending eighteen months in the even zodiac signs of Pisces and Virgo, the Rahu-Ketu axis shifted to the odd signs, Aquarius and Leo, in the early hours of 30th May 2025, where it stays into the evening of 25th November 2026.

During this tenure, Rahu transits the sign Aquarius — and Ketu passes through the sign Leo. During its one and a half year long stay the Rahu/Ketu axis will be stationary three times between the following dates:

1. Around 24 degrees between 24th July 2025 and 7th of October 2025.
2. Around 14 degrees between 30th January 2026 and 7th April 2026.
3. Around 5 degrees between 16th July 2026 and 29th September 2026.

Those natives, who have the most effective points (MEPs) of the ascendant around the above-mentioned degrees or have any natal planets at these degrees, in the odd signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius & Aquarius) will have to be not only careful but also diligently perform the astral remedies for sailing through this time with less problems.

Special Movements

1. During the first half of September 2025 Jupiter passes through the close affliction of stationary Rahu. This negative impact is lessened as Jupiter is travelling at an above average speed. More impact will be felt by Cancer, Capricorn and Scorpio rising individuals and nations as their transit Jupiter is also badly placed.
2. From 16th to 28th March 2026 transit Mercury gets exactly afflicted by stationary nodal axis while transiting the sign of Aquarius. This spell will be especially vulnerable for Pisces (spouse, family, foreign travel, loss), Virgo (injuries, litigations, surgeries, expenses) and Cancer (business, initiatives, younger siblings, communication) rising individuals and nations.

ARIES ASCENDANT

For Arians this is a welcome movement as it brings the Rahu-Ketu nodes out from their evil houses and provides good relief from health issues and financial problems. Now Rahu will be in the eleventh house while Ketu will travel through their fifth house. When unafflicting Rahu’s stay in 11th is likely to bestow financial gains but the income levels remain fluctuating. When stationary for a prolonged period near the ascending degree (MEP) it may cause worries on account of emotional disturbance, progeny, losses in speculation and obstructions in cashflow. Similarily, when traveling away from MEP Ketu’s stay in Leo brings spiritual learning and calmness while it may cause anxiety, problems in relationships, issues for kids and challenges in your health, when it stays close to your ascending degree for a prolonged period.

TAURUS ASCENDANT

For Taureans, Ketu transits in their fourth house while Rahu transits in their tenth house. Ketu’s stay may bring spiritual insights into home life when not afflicting the MEP or other planets, but it can also disturb their mental peace, family cohesion and may cause problems in property matters, especially when it is closely afflicting their ascending degree. While Rahu’s close influence on their 10th house when not afflicting the MEP or other planets makes them very ambitious, especially with career; when it is close to the MEP some of their professional decisions may backfire and cause distressing situations. It also causes them to look for new positions outside their current organisations as Rahu’s close influence on the 10th house breeds instability and dissatisfaction. When Rahu is unafflicting, the natives may also try to keep their career situations more stable through manipulations and deception. Special care is required by the natives when the Sun travels through Libra, Sagittarius and Aries.

GEMINI ASCENDANT

For Geminians the nodal axis moves from their kendra houses to their 3rd and 9th houses. The good news is that both of these are benefic houses for them. Rahu’s stay in their ninth house gives them extra energy, enthusiasm and ambition while the influence of Ketu in their third house acts as a balancing force and tames their ambitiousness and tests/weighs it well in real scenarios. When closely afflicting their MEP this transit movement may cause worries on account of health of spouse/parents, behavior of business partners, friends, siblings and stability of income. Some stress is likely when the Sun transits the signs of Scorpio, Capricorn and Taurus. Otherwise, the nodal transit is well supported by positive transits of both slow-moving planets viz. Saturn through their 9th house and Jupiter through their ascendant.

CANCER ASCENDANT

For Cancer rising individuals and nations the nodal axis shifts out of their houses of fortune and initiatives. It now transits their houses of family, status, obstructions and delays. When Ketu in the 2nd house is not afflicting the MEP or other planets, the native can connect mystical sciences and spiritual insights with family life and professional status. When Rahu & Ketu transit close to their MEP or get stationed within a close range, they indicate sudden challenges in matters of health, finances and litigations as their 6th lord Jupiter is also passing through the house of losses/expenses and separative influences. The close influence of Rahu near their MEP will definitely be unfavorable giving obstructions and setbacks and they should not be negligent and impulsive. Special stress is indicated when the Sun passes through Gemini, Sagittarius or Aquarius. Rahu stationed near their MEP is likely to create distrust in relationships, disturb mental peace and may cause loss of assets as well.

LEO ASCENDANT

Leos can heave a sigh of relief as this movement of the nodes brings both Rahu and Ketu into their positive houses. Now Rahu transits their seventh house and Ketu transits their first house. This placement of the nodes gives them inclinations for new friendships, pleasure trips and improving their level of income and for that reason they may even compromise on their basic principles. When the nodes get stationed close to their MEP then they may cause health problems, challenges in their partnership ventures, problems to spouse/siblings and the stresses especially increases when simultaneously the Sun is traveling through the signs of Capricorn, Pisces or Cancer which happen to fall in their evil houses. The problems for spouse and partners can be prolonged as Saturn is also transiting the house of obstructions throughout their stay.

VIRGO ASCENDANT

Virgos are in for recurrent episodes of stressful situations as the nodal axis transits their malefic houses. Rahu falls in their sixth while Ketu passes through their twelfth house. When afflicting their MEP, the nodal axis indicates severe setbacks to their health, professional status, position in litigations, financial setbacks and inordinate delays. The situation gets exacerbated when their second lord Venus travels through Aquarius, Aries or Leo & also when the Sun is passing through Libra, Aries or Aquarius. Saving grace for Virgo rising natives is the transit of their Most Benefic Planet Jupiter into their 10th house, which lends stability to their professional and family affairs. Also, their health is well supported when transit Saturn is fairly strong and unafflicted in Pisces.

LIBRA  ASCENDANT

Librans can celebrate as this nodal movement brings it out of their malefic houses and significantly reduces stress in their lives. Now Rahu passes through their fifth while Ketu travels through their eleventh house. On a positive note, it improves their health, level of conflicts and their financial position while some caution is also necessitated as Saturn transits their sixth house throughout Rahu-Ketu’s stay in the 5th and 11th houses. It makes one ambitious, encourages one to make risky investments, lessens concentration and may also waste precious energy in unviable projects. Ketu’s transit in the 11th house brings in a new spiritual dimensional aspect of life and one is encouraged to participate in religious or spiritual activities. Increased stress is seen when the Sun is in Pisces, Taurus or Virgo.

SCORPIO ASCENDANT

This transit movement of the nodes brings them into the kendra houses for Scorpions. Rahu gets settled in the fourth while Ketu settles down in their tenth house. Rahu’s stay in the fourth house when transiting away from the MEP and not afflicting other planets can bring successful ambition for material gains in home life and property assets. Ketu away from the MEP in the 10th house and not afflicting other planets may bring spiritual insights to the Scorpio especially connected with their career interests. Ketu’s stay in 10th house can be depressing for professional growth, especially when transiting close to teh MEP; the native should avoid any risky professional decisions as the second lord Jupiter is also transiting their house of obstructions. Stress increases in professional matters when the 10th lord Sun is passing through Libra, Aries and Gemini. When transiting close to the MEP for a prolonged period Rahu’s influence in the fourth house is likely to disturb the mental peace, property matters and cause problems for parents.

SAGITTARIUS ASCENDANT

The nodal axis shifts out of kendra houses and transits the houses of initiatives and fortune for Sagittarians. Rahu transits the third house, indicating an increased appetite for risk, never say die approach while Ketu’s stay in the house of fortune increases the spiritual inclinations, religious study/pilgrimages and brings a sense of contentment. When the nodal axis gets stationed close to the MEP it does not augur well for health, progeny, income and relationships. Positive transits of the ascendant lord Jupiter and the 3rd lord Saturn help to reduce the level of stress and negative manifestations.

CAPRICORN ASCENDANT

This transit movement of the nodes is partially negative for Capricornians as it brings Ketu to its most malefic placement, that is in the 8th house while Rahu remains well placed in the second house. When Rahu and Ketu are away from the MEP and not afflicting other planets, Rahu can bring energy for material gains in wealth, family life and professional status. When transiting close to the MEP they threaten financial stability, losses on account of disputes, wasteful expenses, professional instability and over-indulgence in pleasures which results in serious health concerns. It is more so as the 12th lord Jupiter is also passing through the house of ill health, financial problems and conflicts etc. The natives become vulnerable to prolonged chronic diseases. Stress further increases when the Sun is passing through Sagittarius and Gemini.

AQUARIUS ASCENDANT

This can be considered a positive change for Aquarians as it brings both of the nodes into positive houses. Rahu transits their ascendant while Ketu passes through their seventh house. When the nodal axis is not afflicting the MEP or other planets, Rahu can bring a lot of ambition to the native for material gains and status through diplomacy while Ketu links spiritual interests with relationships and foreign lands. Simultaneous positive movements of both Jupiter (5th H) and Saturn (2nd H) also indicate generally positive results for the natives. But when stationed close to their MEP Rahu gives a lot of over-indulgence in the materialist affairs while Ketu indicates serious problems in relationships, health of spouse and partnership ventures to name a few. PISCES ASCENDANT

This transit movement of nodes significantly threatens the mental peace of Pisceans. Rahu transits the twelfth house while Ketu falls into the sixth house. Rahu involves the natives in more materialistic pursuits and causes major concerns on account of health and finances. These things magnify when the nodes get stationed close to the MEP and planets Mars and the Sun pass through the 6th, 8th and 12th houses in transit. On a positive note, the movement of 10th lord Jupiter in Gemini helps their professional growth and to some extent helps them in managing the challenges caused by this adverse nodal transit.
